Assets you have allocated towards your long term savings, do not include your daily use checking accounts or emergency liquidity accounts. You may include equity in a property you own that you plan to sell at retirement
Annual amount you save towards your long term savings like IRA’s, employer sponsored plans, Brokerage Accounts, etc. Do not include amounts that you are savings towards a child’s college fund, vehicle fund, vacation fund, etc.
